Restau­rant Die Drogerie

A for­mer drug­store in Sen­ften­berg has taken on a new life. After clos­ing its door after 60 years at the begin­ning of the 90s, in 2016 it reopened as a restau­rant, wine cel­lar and cook­ery school, hav­ing been care­fully ren­o­vated under the direc­tion of an art his­to­rian. The for­mer drug­store com­bines moder­nity with tra­di­tion, and impresses with sur­pris­ing ele­ments in a charm­ing and relaxed atmos­phere. One build­ing, three lev­els, and many pos­si­bil­i­ties for con­nois­seurs.

Restau­rant
Located on the ground floor of the drug­store, the restau­rant serves mod­ern Ger­man cui­sine using local prod­ucts but with sub­tle inter­na­tional influ­ences. The menu con­tains alter­nat­ing dishes in uncom­pro­mis­ingly high qual­ity – always accom­pa­nied by an aper­i­tif, cock­tail or fine wine. In short, both taste and crafts­man­ship for dis­cern­ing con­nois­seurs.
The restau­rant can seat up to 38 guests and has an adjoin­ing ter­race. It can be used for both pri­vate cel­e­bra­tions and spe­cial occa­sions.

Wine cel­lar
The cosy wine cel­lar can accom­mo­date up to 25 guests. With its some­what more rus­tic ambi­ence, it is open to restau­rant vis­i­tors and is par­tic­u­larly suit­able for pri­vate events and fam­ily cel­e­bra­tions. Wine sem­i­nars with selected wines are reg­u­larly held by experts in the wine cel­lar. The drug­store’s aim: to pre­sent the area’s most inter­est­ing wine list.

Cook­ery school
The drug­store’s cook­ery school is located on the upper floor. It fea­tures an Art Nou­veau wall paint­ing that is unique in the region, giv­ing the room a very spe­cial char­ac­ter. Up to 21 guests can take part in the cook­ery courses and live cook­ing events. Under the guid­ance of a chef-coach, guests cre­ate a 3- to 4-course menu them­selves that is based on the cook­ing style of the restau­rant, and expe­ri­ence an unfor­get­table evening.
The restau­rant is also ideal for busi­ness meet­ings and Christ­mas par­ties.
