Fans of canoes, kayaks, rowing boats and pedalos will be in their element in the Lusatian Lakeland, with many lakes where they can paddle, row, or pedal to their hearts’ content.

You can even go on a canoe tour of several lakes, such as Lake Senftenberg and Lake Geierswalde, which are linked by the Koschen Canal.

Please be aware that some lakes only allow the use of your own oared, pedalled or paddled craft (e.g. canoes and rubber dinghies) in designated places, and may charge a fee.

River touring on the Spree and Neisse rivers

Explore the Spree and Neisse rivers in a canoe or rubber dinghy. Guided tours in these craft are available. The very scenic stretch of the river Spree between Bärwalde and Spreewitz is ideal for canoes and dinghies. The river Neisse can be explored by boat between Bad Muskau and Ratzdorf, where it flows into the river Oder.
