Are there des­ig­nated bri­dle paths? Are they free to use?

There are many des­ig­nated bri­dle paths (in Sax­ony) and paths rec­om­mended for horse rid­ers (in Bran­den­burg) in the Lusa­t­ian Lake­land.

In Sax­ony, charges apply for the use of des­ig­nated bri­dle paths. Rid­ers must pur­chase per­mits (€10 for one year) and tags (one-off charge, approx. €10) which must be dis­played promi­nently on the horse. Monthly per­mits are also avail­able at a lower price.

In Bran­den­burg, no addi­tional charges apply for horse rid­ing.
