How long will the flood­ing of the lakes take to com­plete?

A num­ber of lakes are cur­rently still in the process of being flooded. One of the last lakes to be flooded will be Lake Altdöbern in the north of the Lusa­t­ian Lake­land; this is sched­uled for com­ple­tion in 2026. The web­site of the Cen­tral Ger­man Min­ing Man­age­ment Com­pany (LMBV) shows the cur­rent sta­tus of flood­ing in the for­mer open­cast mines.
